A Purveyor of Light and Shadow, Formula Drift Irwindale 2014

Painting and photography are completely different thought disciplines from each other. When you paint, or sketch, you study how shadows fall on your subject. But with photography, its the exact opposite; you study about how light falls on your subject instead.

When I was at the seventh and last round of the Formula Drift 2014 season, at Irwindale Speedway, I went in with a specific art project in mind:  go in studying the interplay between shadow and light on various subjects around the Formula D pit lane.

And here are my results.
